A 12-month plan of dining experiences! Now I am not going to lie, I don’t know if my husband is going to buy into this, but we shall see. After all, he too enjoys a meal out!
In my new year reflection and my idea for a 12-month dining experience, this is what I came up with, in no particualr order.
Go Fish: I mean who isn’t on the hunt for the best fish and chips while living on a coast?
Caffe La Tana: I already shared that I should have married into the Mob for my love of Italian. This place looks BOMB with a menu of small plates and pasta to share (think Lady & the Tramp).
Continental Seafood: Now this was recommended to me by someone at work and dubbed the last cart-style Dim Sum in Vancouver, so a MUST try in my eyes.
Nightingale: Named Canada’s best farm to table restaurant, looks like a great menu to be shared family style, also boasting wood oven fired pizza.
Italian Kitchen: See comment under Caffe La Tana! This appears to be a must for a Sunday with a 3-course menu featuring a 100-layer lasagna.
H2 Kitchen and Bar: Ok, this is really the one that made me want to do this food experience when I saw it on Instagram. Southern style food and BBQ smokehouse featuring a DATE NIGHT MEAT SWEATS BOARD! I can feel the food coma that will come with this food experience!
Sempro Uno: This one is within walking distance for the condo and makes me think of my favourite place in Victoria: Il Terrazzo. Did I see duck on that menu??
Il Terrazzo: Ok, if I am going to try something that reminds me of this place, then I am going to be sure to return to this place! Il Terrazzo, a longstanding favourite with AMAZING food.
Water St Cafe: So we went to this place a long time ago, on the corner of two streets in Gastown, boasting a ton of windows and of course, an Italian menu. Cleary still in my memory so a do over is in order!
Jam Cafe: Ok, I love brunch and I love Jam and have frequented the one in Victoria. There is one open in North Van now just up the street and I WILL convince Will to try it one weekend.
Pho Zen Vietnamese Cuisine Restaurant: Stay tuned as we look for a new Pho restaurant for Will and find the best Pho in around!
Appolonia Greek Restaurant: While I am really on the hunt for the best Halifax inspired Gyro, I may have to settle for finding an overall amazing Greek restaurant in the city. So, we will be sure to try the lamb inspired entries here.
There you have it, my 12-month dining experience! What do you think?

I’d love to find a good Greek place in the Victoria area. We had a really really good one in Squamish but it closed. My mouth is watering thinking about their pita and fettuccine and leg of lamb and garlic Prawns and Greek salad and and and.
Soooo… if you have recommendations let me know!
We will try the one right downtown together!
