Buttermilk Cheddar Bacon Chive Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 c flour
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c buttermilk
  • 1/4 c melted butter
  • 1/4 c bacon bits
  • 1 c shredded old cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c chopped fresh chives

Method
 

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda in a large bowl.
  3. Which egg, buttermilk, and butter in a separate bowl. Add to the flour mixture along with the bacon,, cheese and chives. Stir until just moistened.
  4. Place in a sprayed or butted loaf pan.
  5. Bake 45 to 50 min. Cool and enjoy.
