Some recipes are just comfort food staples… and some make your taste buds do a happy dance.
I have some pretty solid chicken recipes that are my go-to’s. My family still ask for them on a regular basis — Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Enchiladas, Chicken with Mushrooms in Tomatoes, Chicken with Cream Sauce are just a handful that come to mind. But I often find that I am looking for something different to try and serve up. You know, when your palate is just screaming for something new: one that hits all the right notes: sweet, savory, and just plain perfect. And then – bam — you find it and say THAT was Exactly what I wanted or Where have you been all my life? That’s how I felt when I made this dish recently.
I am always on the hunt for the right mix of sweet and savory in a dish. And I am drawn to sticky for some reason. About a month ago I tried a recipe from Instagram in the air fryer, thinking it was going to fit the bill — and hated it. There was absolutely no sweetness to it at all. So, I continued my search, and I kept looking until I found something I thought would meet my palate’s needs.
This recipe has only a handful of ingredients but boasts honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. It’s garlic forward and I believe I added fresh grated ginger the first time around. This is so easy to make. The hardest part is cleaning the boneless chicken thighs.
This is a weeknight recipe you can throw together in no time. Add some steamed rice and a salad, and voilà, dinner is served. It will be a kid and family friendly dish that will be on repeat for years to come.
Do you have any go-to chicken recipes? Tell me yours. And give this one a try and let me know if your family wants this one on repeat.

Method
- Clean and pat dry chicken. Season both sides with garlic, pepper and paprika.
- Heat oil. Sear the chicken for appox 4 min per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- While the chicken is searing, assemble the glaze by whisking the honey, brown sugar, soy sauce and cider vinegar together. Set aside.
- Saute garclic and ginger in the pan used to sear the chicken for approx 1 min.
- Add the glaze to the pan and whisk, bringing to a boil and reduce heat. Add chicken back to the pan and continue to heat through, approximately 5 minutes.

We like a Greek chicken. Definitely eating more chicken than beef these days. This sounds yummy!
I haven’t tried Greek chicken yet, but I will have to add it to the list of new things to try. You inspire me, thank you!
